About Manna Initiative

A formal, public-facing initiative empowering women and youth through training, mentorship, and community.

It all started from a free Training Class organised by AMCLINS RONAMARY LIMITED, in 2009, where baking, cookery and confectioneries are demonstrated every first Wednesday monthly. About 250 number of people had been trained through our FREE monthly training classes. We have had testimonials of people that have learnt new recipes that they have incorporated into their businesses and family kitchens. Our monthly free trainings also cover essential skills and knowledge for business management (such as finance, legal matters, healthy living, safety etc) are facilitated by seasoned professionals from all walks of life.

Thereafter, 2015 an end of year carnival erupted, showcasing competitions, exhibitions, and product display of the free class participants. Membership grew and participation was great. Then committees were put together and started official carnival planning.

Chairperson for 2017 was Mrs Stella Akomolafe. Chairperson for 2018 was Mrs Olubusola Popoola. Chairperson for 2020 was Mrs Patina Deba‑Mordi.

We then launched our first Magazine named Amclins Connect by embarking on sponsored training programs in 2020 and 2021. This was a Success, we trained up to 400 participants and hosted them at our yearly carnival to appreciate the active participants who exhibited their products.

With over 230 participants on WhatsApp. Practical sections migrated to WhatsApp during Covid‑19 pandemic. And participants increased monthly via links shared. Chairperson for 2021 was Mrs Bibiana Ikeni. Carnival and Second Training Program.

These two training programs birthed MANNA. We officially received MANNA certificate of incorporation as an NGO on the 16th of May 2022. The Chairperson for 2022 training is Mrs Abosede Steven‑Okpeh. She is to launch MANNA first training and empowerment program. All plans and activities are on top gear.
